Sunday Stroll

Another Sunday, that means it's photo-bombing day. We were so excited to get started that we left the apartment 15 minutes before Leslie's official photo bombing alarm went off! It started off kinda slow but once we hit the Palais des Papes it picked up. We were extra creepy today and we are pretty sure people caught on to us. We  photo bombed the same couple about 5 or 6 times. The girl gave us the stink eye so we decided it was time to move on to another touristy spot. To sum up today's experience, the pictures will suffice:

After all of the running to be in the right place at the right time, we were starved. We strolled down rue de la republique to our favorite little sandwich stand, la mie caline. We all got a "croque" of some sort, Laura got her usual, croque monsieur, Leslie got a croque saumon and I got my favorite croque chevre. We ate our sandwiches in the park then decided to cross the rhone and check out a little town called Villeneuve. It wasn't too exciting but we weren't really up for walking too much longer so we decided to go back next weekend with bikes.

this means you're no longer in Villeneuve les Avignon. how clever.

I finally start teaching tomorrow! Well technically for only 3 hours and I don't think I'm actually teaching yet but observing. The director of the school told me we will be doing "The Very Hungry Caterpillar." Classic. I go to my second school Thursday for another 3 hours then I have 6 hours at my third school, but I haven't heard what day I am teaching there, how French. So hopefully I will figure that out soon, but I am not too concerned for the time being. I already wrote down a few pages of ideas for teaching topics. At our seminar last week I learned that I will basically be reading children's stories, singing songs and playing games with the students. I love teaching in the primary schools. Good thing I brought Go Fish, matching puzzles and picture books with me!
